AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn (18-13) puts its perfect midweek record on the line with a matchup against Alabama State (13-16) Tuesday night at Plainsman Park.

"Hopefully we'll keep trying to figure out how to steady ourselves, make some adjustments and get ready for another week," head coach Butch Thompson said. "We just have to absolutely stay with it, make these adjustments and move forward."
 
The game will be broadcast on the Auburn Sports Network and can be heard locally on Wings 94.3 FM. It will also be broadcast nationally on SEC Network.

Auburn is 7-0 in midweek games and is outscoring the opponent 60-19.
 
The Tigers have turned in a 2.66 ERA and haven't allowed more than four runs in a midweek game.
 
Last Tuesday's win at UAB marked the team's fifth win this season when trailing entering the sixth inning or later.
 
Ike Irish (47) and Cooper McMurray (46) rank second and third in the league in RBI.
 
Their combined 93 RBI are the most in the league and second most in the country.
 
The duo has driven in 192 runs in 89 games since the beginning of last season.
 
Auburn has hit multiple home runs in 21 of 31 games this season, including eight of the last nine.
 
The team's 57 home runs are good for fifth in the league and 16th in the country.
 
The offense is hitting .306 and has scored 71 runs in the last nine games.
 
Christian Herberholz has made three straight midweek starts and has turned in a 4.46 ERA in 12 career starts in an Auburn uniform.
 
The Tigers bullpen has turned in a 1.65 ERA with 47 strikeouts and 10 walks in 32.2 innings in midweek games this season. 
 
Auburn is 13-1 all-time against Alabama State (all games have been played at Plainsman Park).
 SCOUTING THE HORNETS 
Alabama State enters the week with a 13-16 overall record and 5-6 record in league play.
 
The Hornets swept Mississippi Valley State two weeks ago but got swept by Florida A&M last weekend.
 
Alabama State is hitting .304 as a team with seven everyday players hitting .300 or higher, led by Randy Flores' .333 clip.
 
On the mound, the Hornets have turned in a 6.15 ERA with 140 walks and 236 strikeouts in 244.1 innings.

  • Fans must enter Plainsman Park via the main gates located behind home plate or Tiger Terrace.
  • The gate located off Donahue Drive near the right field foul pole is closed due to construction.
  • Those with a reserved ticket or add-on access to the Hall of Fame Club may enter via the exterior glass door located off Donahue Drive.

Fans are encouraged to park in the athletics complex parking deck, coliseum lot, Neville Arena lot and stadium parking deck.

  • For 2024, Donahue Drive from the Josh Donaldson Hitting Lab to the Tiger Walk corner of Donahue and Heisman Drive will be shut down from two hours before first pitch through the middle of the first inning and from the top of the seventh inning until the stadium has been cleared of fans.

Student seating inside Plainsman Park is in section 111 and Tiger Terrance on a first-come, first-served basis. Students can also access the new Back Forty Deck sponsored by Outdoor Alabama on a first-come, first-served basis via the walkway between the Josh Donaldson Hitting Lab and South Donahue Dorms.
 
For 2024, several concession locations have changed due to construction.

  • There will be no concessions available along the first base side of the ballpark, including Curveball Café and the food vendors located at Plainsman Patio.
  • Ben's Soft Pretzels has moved to the exterior concourse next to the ADA ramp on the third base side of the ballpark.
  • The Sweet Treats stand previously located at Plainsman Patio is now located at the main entry gate next to the ticket booth.
  • The Chick-fil-A stand previously located next at Plainsman Patio is now located in the former promotions booth on the exterior concourse. Chick-fil-A is available for all home games, excluding Sundays.
