BERKELEY, Calif. – No. 17 Women's tennis completed a 4-0 shutout of BYU on Saturday at the Hellman Tennis Complex in Berkeley, California, in a match that lasted under two-and-a-half hours. The win advances the Tigers to the second round of the NCAA Championship for the fourth consecutive season.

"They did a great job today," interim head coach Lester Cook said after the victory. "They came out with good energy in doubles and got a quick start. In the singles, I think we came out a little tentative to go and play loose like we usually do. But they adjusted and worked into the match pretty well and took care of business."

Auburn's top doubles team of Ariana Arseneault and DJ Bennett had no issues with BYU's Emilee Astle and Kendall Kovick. Arseneault and Bennett took an early 2-1 lead and never looked back, claiming each of the next four games to win the quick match. The Auburn duo have now won 11 matches together this season.

Auburn also jumped out to early leads on courts two and three. Adeline Flach and Ava Esposito Cogan, who played together for the first time since February 18 on Friday, defeated Bobo Huang and Kaavya Sawhney 6-3 to claim the doubles point.
