AUBURN, Ala. – Thomas Kennedy will join the Tigers' men's tennis team for the 2024-25 season, head coach Bobby Reynolds announced on Thursday. Kennedy will arrive on the Plains after spending two seasons at Furman University.

Kennedy was selected to the Southern Conference All-Freshman team in 2022-23 after earning 10 singles victories and 11 doubles victories. The following season, Kennedy posted a 10-10 singles dual match record and a 6-1 mark in SoCon matches playing primarily at No. 2 in the lineup. He also went 11-9 in doubles dual matches regularly at the top of the Paladin doubles lineup.

The Atlanta, Georgia native earned two postseason honors from the Southern Conference after his sophomore season, as he was named to the conference's second team in both singles and doubles.

Kennedy graduated from Johnson Ferry Christian Academy in 2022 and was rated as a five-star recruit by Tennis Recruiting Network. Kennedy was also ranked as No. 66 in his class nationally by TRN and as the second-highest ranked recruit in the state of Georgia.

Kennedy's brother, Jake, is also a member of the Auburn men's tennis team and completed his freshman year in 2023-24.
