AUBURN, Ala.—Auburn Athletics' War Eagle Productions won the Sports Video Group Award for Outstanding Live Non-Game Production for its show open for the Auburn men's basketball game against Ole Miss. War Eagle Productions received the award last week at the 16th annual College Sports Media Awards in Atlanta, winning a category that included nominees Liberty University, Colorado College, University of North Carolina, University of Wyoming and University of North Texas. The SVG Awards are in association with the National Athletic Association of College Directors of Athletics (NACDA).

"Our War Eagle Productions unit continues to be the industry standard," Senior Associate Athletic Director for Fan Experience and Creative Strategy Paris Buchanan said. "Being recognized nationally for their efforts this year is something we are all very proud of as they continue to raise the bar for future success. It's a total team effort, starting with David Pedersen and Parker Leppien leading the charge."

In his fifth year at Auburn, Pedersen serves as Assistant Athletic Director of War Eagle Productions while Leppien, in his sixth year, is Director of Live Operations and Programming for WEP.

"We're really proud of this award because it took the collective effort of a lot of people," Pedersen said. "You work in the video and athletics industry because you thrive on things like storytelling, technology, and teamwork. We were able to utilize that passion to showcase the basketball team, the atmosphere of Neville Arena, and Auburn on a national level."

Additionally, War Eagle Productions was a finalist for the ninth consecutive year in the Outstanding Live Game Production category. It marked the sixth year that WEP has won an award from the Sports Video Group. Auburn previously won Outstanding Live Game Production four consecutive years from 2016-2019 and again in 2021.
