Auburn, Ala. - Eleven members of the Auburn track & field team earned USTFCCCA All-Academic Honors for their outstanding performances both in the classroom and during the 2024 collegiate track & field seasons, as announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Monday.
On the men’s side, freshman Max Hardin (biomedical sciences), sophomores Michael May (finance) and Matthew Rueff (finance), senior Ryan Kinnane (Master of Business Administration) and graduate student James Courson (MSCE in Cybersecurity Engineering) earned the recognition.
Representing the Auburn women were sophomore Alyssa Quinones-Mixon (exercise science), juniors Rhiannon Held (accounting) and Vimbayi Maisvorewa (exercise, performance, health), graduate students Lalah Hasbrouck (MS in Child Life, Human Development & Family Science), Shaniya Holley (MS in Biological Science Pre-Professional) and Amy Warren (Master of Business Administration).
To qualify for USTFCCCA academic honors, student-athletes had to maintain a 3.25 GPA for the academic year and finish in the top 96 for any championship individual event for the indoor season. They must have participated in any round of the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships for the outdoor season.
Additionally, the men’s and women’s teams were named USTFCCCA All-Academic Teams with 3.16 and 3.29 GPAs, respectively.
