AUBURN, Ala. — Auburn soccer’s Anna Haddock and Maddie Prohaska have been named to the 2024 Southeastern Conference Preseason Watch List, the league office announced Wednesday.
It is the fourth consecutive season that both Haddock and Prohaska were named to the list.
The reigning SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year, Haddock enters her final season on The Plains as one of the best midfielders to ever don the Orange & Blue. Through four seasons, the Bowling Green, Kentucky native has scored 18 goals, seven of which have come as game-winners. Haddock has also dished out a whopping 31 assists, the third-most in program history. Last season, Haddock finished four goals and helped create seven others en route to earning Second Team All-SEC.
Another five-year starter, Prohaska is set to lead Auburn’s defense between the sticks once more this season. She returns to the pitch as one of two SEC goalkeepers with at least 25 career shutouts to their credit. A season with nine clean sheets would see the West Chester, Ohio native smash Megan Rivera’s program record of 33 career shutouts.
In 2023, Prohaska made 67 clutch saves, stopping over three-fourths of the dangerous chances that came her way. She sits on 259 career saves heading into her final year.
A total of 88 student-athletes were named to this year's watch list. The complete list can be found here.
Auburn opens its season at home against No. 5 Clemson Thursday, Aug. 15, at 6:30 p.m. CT. Fans will receive a tie-dye Auburn koozie while supplies last.
