AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn sophomore Anna Davis earned the initial SEC Player of the Week honor of the 2024-25 season, the conference announced on Wednesday. This marks the second career SEC weekly honor for Davis, who was named SEC Freshman of the Week in April.

The Auburn sophomore was tabbed SEC Co-Player of the Week after recording an individual runner-up finish in the Tigers’ season opener at the Cougar Classic in Charleston, South Carolina. Davis did not record a round over par on her way to a 6-under 207 for the event.

The Spring Valley, California native’s tournament was highlighted by an opening round 67 (-4) that included five birdies. She followed up her opening round with a second round of 69 (-2) and a final round of even par (71). The finish marked her fourth within the top-5 since joining the team in January.

Auburn took home the team title behind Davis’ stellar performance, as the team carded a 54-hole score of 847 (-5) and winning the event by a shot.

Davis and the Tigers will return to action on Saturday at the Schooner Fall Classic in Norman, Oklahoma.
