AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn sophomore Anna Davis has been named to the 2024-2025 Fall ANNIKA Award Watch List, the Haskins Foundation announced on Wednesday. The announcement comes one day after Davis was tabbed first team preseason All-American by Golf Channel and Golfweek.

Davis’ name is one of the 25 on the watch list after a stellar freshman season that earned her second team All-American and second team All-SEC honors.

The Spring Valley, California native arrived on the Plains in January and participated in all eight of the Tigers’ spring tournaments. She captured a top-5 finish at the SEC Championship and won low medalist at the NCAA Auburn Regional by three shots at 5-under (211).

Davis, the No. 16 amateur player in the world, finished the year with a 71.68 scoring average and four top-10 individual finishes. After the season, she received invitations to represent the United States on the world stage in the both Arnold Palmer Cup and the Curtis Cup.

Created in 2014, the ANNIKA Award presented by Stifel is annually given to the top female Division I collegiate golfer; the winner voted on by players, coaches and members of the college golf media. Named for Annika Sorenstam, the award was created in partnership with the Haskins Foundation to acknowledge the top female golfer and to match the Haskins Award presented by Stifel, which acknowledges the top male Division I collegiate golfer.

Davis and the Tigers will begin the 2024-25 campaign at the Cougar Classic on Sept. 9-10 at Yeaman’s Hall Club in Charlston, South Carolina.
