AUBURN, Ala. – The Auburn gymnastics team stands at No. 11 this week per RoadToNationals.com. The weekly rankings are based on the overall team score from the season-opening weekend.

Auburn opened the 2024 season with a 196.600 at the Mean Girls Super 16 Gymnastics Championships in Las Vegas this past Saturday. The score was the second-highest season opener for Auburn in program history.

"It's obviously really early in the season and I'm more interested in how we're ranked closer to the end," head coach Jeff Graba said. "However, I think being ranked 11th right now is exciting for such a team that has many new faces and many experienced gymnasts in new positions. It was a great start to the season in Vegas, but we had some work to do as we enter SEC competition."

Oklahoma is at No. 1 after scoring a 197.850 in its season opener. Utah stands second at 197.300, while Southeastern Conference opponents in Missouri (197.150), Alabama (197.125) and LSU (196.975) close out the top five.

Kentucky and Georgia are also among the top 15 with Kentucky coming in at tied for ninth and Georgia at No. 15. Florida and Arkansas did not compete last week and kick off the 2024 season this Friday.

Individually, senior Olivia Hollingsworth is in the top 10 in the all-around with a 39.450. Fifth year Cassie Stevens is 19th at 39.350. The pair are also tied for 13th nationally on floor as each had a 9.9 in the event to start the year.

Stevens is tied for 13th on bars after tying a career high Saturday with a 9.925. Hollingsworth is tied for 21st on bars as she set a career best with a 9.9. Junior Sophia Groth also chipped in a 9.9 in the event for the Tigers to rank tied for 21st.

Junior Sara Hubbard earned a 9.875 on vault in Las Vegas and that score is good for 18th nationally.

Auburn hosts No. 9 Kentucky in Neville Arena on January 12. The Tigers and the Wildcats will go head-to-head at 7:30 p.m. CT and the meet will be televised on SEC Network.
