WEST POINT, Miss. – Auburn sophomore Anna Davis fired a second round 65 (-7) to lead Auburn to a 6-under team score (282) on Tuesday at The Ally at Old Waverly Golf Club in West Point, Mississippi. The Tigers are 5-under through two rounds (571) and are in fourth place, four shots behind the tournament leaders.
“Day two is called moving day and Anna Davis led the way with a round of 65 with two eagles,” Auburn head coach Melissa Luellen said after the round. “If we can get a couple of putts to drop tomorrow, we can apply some pressure to the leads. Best for last!”
Davis’ bogey-free round was highlighted by two eagles on No. 9 and No. 15, both par-5s. The score ties the fourth lowest 18-hole score in program history and is the sophomore’s second lowest of the season behind her opening round 64 at the Schooner Fall Classic. Davis moved up to a tie for second on the individual leaderboard and is four strokes behind Avery Weed of Mississippi State, the tournament leader.

Junior Katie Cranston remained inside the top-10 after a round of even par on Tuesday. Cranston is 4-under for the tournament (140) and is tied for sixth place.
Redshirt junior Casey Weidenfeld bounced back from Monday by firing a 72 (E) with three birdies on Tuesday. She is 3-over through 36-holes (143) and is tied for 25th.
Redshirt junior Carys Worby provided the final counting score for Auburn in round two with a 1-over 73.
The Tigers will begin the final round of The Ally at 8:30 a.m. off the first tee paired with players from Florida and Wisconsin. Live scoring of Wednesday’s round will be available online at scoreboard.clippd.com.
