AUBURN, Ala. – Women’s tennis will have players compete in the Roberta Alison Fall Classic from Friday to Saturday at the Roberta Alison Baumgardner Tennis Facility in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. This will be the second consecutive year the Tigers participate in the event.
The tournament will feature both singles and doubles matches. Doubles matches will consist of a single set with a seven-point tiebreaker if the score reaches 6-6. Singles matches will be best-of-three full sets. Friday’s schedule includes doubles at 9 a.m. CT followed by two rounds of singles, while Saturday will again feature doubles at 9 a.m. followed by one round of singles.
Auburn will compete alongside players from Louisville, Georgia Tech, Georgia, Mississippi State, South Alabama, Troy, East Tennessee State, NC State, and host school Alabama.
Alice Battesti, Julie Bedard, Ava Esposito, and Emma Tothová are the four players that will be representing the Tigers at the event.
Esposito will enter the tournament with a 6-3 singles record this season. She and Battesti reached the quarterfinals of the ITA Southern Regional Championships as a doubles team earlier in the month.
