AUBURN, Ala. – No. 6 Women’s golf will take part in the Illini Women’s Invitational at Medinah for the second time in three seasons on Monday and Tuesday. The tournament will be played at historic Medinah Country Club in Medinah, Illinois. Auburn will enter the event with momentum, finishing first and second in its first two events of the fall schedule.

Sophomore Anna Davis was the team’s top performer in both tournaments, earning a runner-up individual finish in each. The Spring Valley, California native was tabbed SEC Co-Player of the week after shooting 6-under (207) at the Cougar Classic to open the season, then carded a 5-under 135 over two rounds at the rain-shortened Schooner Fall Classic that was highlighted by an opening round 64 (-6).

Redshirt junior Casey Weidenfeld will look to build on her season debut at the Schooner Fall Classic, where she recorded her third career top-5 finish with a couple rounds of 2-under (68).

In Auburn’s last appearance in the Illini Women’s Invitational during the 2022-23 season, the team broke the 54-hole program record with a three-round total of 835 (-29) which led to a second-place team finish.

The tournament will be played at Medinah Country Club, Course No. 2. Medinah Country Club has hosted numerous prestigious events in its history, including three U.S. Open Championships, two PGA Championships and the 2012 Ryder Cup.

The Tigers will be joined in the field by No. 19 Ole Miss, No. 23 Pepperdine, Alabama, Indiana, North Texas, Texas Tech, Maryland, UCLA, Northern Illinois, Houston, Georgia, Louisiana-Monroe, UCF and host school Illinois.

The opening round will be a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. CT. The first two rounds will be played on Monday and the final round will be played on Tuesday.  Live scoring of the tournament will be available online at scoreboard.clippd.com.
