AUBURN, Ala. – Charlotte Cantonis and Frances Brown have both signed with Auburn Women’s Golf, head coach Melissa Luellen announced on Wednesday. Both Cantonis and Brown will join the Tigers in the fall of 2025.

Cantonis has three wins on the Florida Junior Tour at the 2023 Bent Creek Open, the 2023 Mission Inn Open and the 2022 Ocala Open. Cantonis qualified for match play at the 2023 U.S. Women’s Amateur and reached the round of 32. She also finished in the top-10 at the AJGA Keith Mitchell Junior Championship earlier this year.

“Charlotte is a great person, has an amazing family and is really talented,” Coach Luellen said about Cantonis. “She hits the ball far, works hard and is always wanting my feedback. She is so excited to be an Auburn Tiger and we’re excited to have her.”

The Tampa, Florida native is an Auburn legacy as her mother, aunt and two uncles each graduated from Auburn University. Cantonis’ home course is Pelican Golf Club, the site of the SEC Women’s Golf Championship, and attends Plant High School in Tampa.

Frances Brown will stay in the state to play collegiate golf, as she will make the move to Auburn from her hometown of Mobile, Alabama. Brown is a three-time individual Alabama High School State Champion and has been named to the Alabama Junior Girls first team All-State twice. Brown also won the 2024 Alabama Girls State Junior Championship and is ranked third in the Alabama Golf Association’s junior girls rankings.

“It’s always great to snag an in-state talent,” said Luellen. “She makes me laugh every time I am around her and keeps a very positive frame of mind. She loves the whole team aspect of things and has worked to pull the 2025 class together. She has been in the gym a lot over the winter and working on getting stronger. She is a great chipper and putter that isn’t afraid to score low.”

Brown attends UMS-Wright Preparatory School and calls the Country Club of Mobile her home course. She is a member of the National Junior Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta Honor Society.
