Bedics and Sharpe head to Atlanta for the SEC Career Tours

Senior Carson Bedics and junior Ariel Sharpe of the Auburn track & field team will participate in the Southeastern Conference’s ninth annual SEC Career Tour Dec. 3-5 in Atlanta, the league office announced Tuesday.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Senior Carson Bedics and junior Ariel Sharpe of the Auburn track & field team will participate in the Southeastern Conference’s ninth annual SEC Career Tour Dec. 3-5 in Atlanta, the league office announced Tuesday.  

Bedics, a native of Homewood, Alabama, is pursuing a degree in bioprocessing engineering. Sharpe holds an associate degree in Applied Science in Health Science. The Clayton, New Jersey native is double majoring in Medical Laboratory Science and Biomedical Sciences with a concentration in Pre-Anesthesiologist Assistant.  

Bedics and Sharpe will represent Auburn at the three-day event along with 29 other student-athletes from around the conference. This program allows student-athletes to connect with human resource recruiters, submit resumes for jobs and gain valuable knowledge of professional branding.  

The three-day event will begin at the site of the SEC Championship Game, and they will meet with staff from the Mercedez Benz Stadium and tour the facility.  

The group will visit the headquarters and meet with executives from multiple corporations and organizations in the city including Metro Atlanta Chamber, One Digital, Southern Company Porsche North America and Mercedez Benz Stadium. 

Also included on the agenda is a visit with SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey.
