AUSTIN, Texas — Auburn soccer’s Anna Haddock and Mallory Mooney were named College Sports Communicators Academic All-Americans Wednesday following a successful season both on the pitch and in the classroom.
Both women were named to the third team. Haddock returns to the list as one of two three-time Academic All-Americans alongside Mississippi State’s Maddy Anderson.
Haddock came up clutch in her final season on The Plains, netting five goals while assisting 13 others for an impressive 23 points. The senior from Bowling Green, Kentucky is the new Auburn career assists record-holder with 44 in her tenure. As a student, she owns a 3.77 GPA as she pursues her MBA in Auburn’s Harbert College of Business. Haddock was voted the SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year for the second season in a row.
Another veteran 20-match starter for the Tigers, Mooney, contributed to Auburn’s defensive prowess as the primary right back. The senior from Broomfield, Colorado also banked four goals and four assists for 12 points. While pursuing a double major in management and marketing, Mooney has accumulated a 3.71 GPA. She earns Academic All-America honors for the first time in her career.
