Auburn lands 4 on Freshman All-SEC Team

Cam Coleman, Bradyn Joiner, Demarcus Riddick and Jay Crawford received rookie recognition, giving Auburn an SEC-best four freshmen honorees

AUBURN, Ala.  Four first-year Tigers – receiver Cam Coleman, offensive lineman Bradyn Joiner, linebacker Demarcus Riddick and defensive back Jay Crawford – have been named to the Freshman All-SEC Team, the Southeastern Conference announced Thursday.

Auburn, Florida and Tennessee are the only programs to have four honorees on the Freshman All-SEC Team, which is selected by the league’s coaches.

A true freshman from Phenix City, Alabama, Coleman caught 37 passes for 598 yards and eight touchdowns, ranking third in program history among newcomers for receiving yardage.

Coleman ended his first season in exceptional fashion with 22 receptions, 306 receiving yards and six touchdowns in Auburn’s final three games.

Bradyn JoinerBradyn Joiner

Joiner, a redshirt freshman guard from Anniston, Alabama, entered the starting lineup vs. Kentucky and remained there for the season’s final four games.

In his first start, Joiner helped Jarquez Hunter rush for 278 yards, the fourth best rushing game in Auburn history.

Demarcus RiddickDemarcus Riddick

Riddick, a true freshman from Clanton, Alabama, earned two starts and made 27 tackles, including three sacks and five tackles for loss. He made six tackles against Oklahoma and five vs. Vanderbilt.

Crawford, a true freshman cornerback from Atlanta, registered 15 tackles and seven pass breakups. Earning his first start against Oklahoma, Crawford made four solo tackles at Georgia and recorded his first interception at Kentucky.
