AUBURN, Ala. – Postseason bound for the 19th time in program history, Auburn softball (27-19-1) punched its postseason ticket to the Tallahassee Regional hosted by No. 13 Florida State.

Auburn will face UCF on Friday, May 17. First pitch is slated for 1 p.m. CT on ESPNU. The Knights posted a 30-23 overall record and a 12-15 mark in their inaugural season in Big 12 play.

Earning the 15th overall seed in the NCAA Tournament, the host Seminoles will face Chattanooga at 3:30 p.m. CT on the ACC Network. Chattanooga earned the automatic bid into the tournament after winning its 16th Southern Conference tournament title.

Game times and television networks for the remainder of the bracket will be released at a later time along with ticket information.

"No matter who you face in postseason, they are going to be a talented team," said head coach Mickey Dean. "We've got to show up and play clean softball. We've been there before. We know what to expect as far as the stadium and the crowd noise."

Auburn is making its fourth appearance in the Tallahassee Regional and its first since 2021. This will be the third time in Dean's tenure that Auburn begins postseason in Tallahassee.

The winner of the Tallahassee Regional will advance to face the winner of the Norman Regional, which features Oklahoma, Oregon, Boston University and Cleveland State.
