LA JOLLA, Calif. — Auburn sophomore Jackson Koivun made his second PGA Tour cut in his third career event over the weekend at the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines Golf Course in La Jolla, California. 

Koivun finished tied for 56th overall at 6-over 294. He opened with a bogeyless 68 (-4) Thursday on the South Course, picking up birdies on holes 2, 6, 7 and 17. It was his best round of the tournament. The Chapel Hill, North Carolina native followed it up with a second-round 76 (+4) on the North Course before returning to the South Course for the final two rounds where he shot 72 (E) and 78 (+6), respectively.
