WAIKOLOA, Hawai'i - Auburn freshman Billy Davis led the Tigers during the opening round of the 2025 Amer Ari Invitational Thursday at the Mauna Lani Golf Course, firing an impressive 7-under 65, which included an ace on the 14th hole.
Davis turned in a clean card. No bogeys, five birdies and the ace saw him just out to fifth place on the individual leaderboard after the first 18.
Seniors Carson Bacha and Ryan Eshleman and sophomore Jackson Koivun also played the round below par. Bacha carded a 4-under 68, Koivun earned a 3-under 69, and Eshleman shot 2-under 70.
Junior Reed Lotter and sophomore Cayden Pope both finished the day at 1-over 73.
