AUBURN, Ala. – No. 20 Auburn (11-1) puts its 10-game winning streak to the test with a midweek matchup against UAB (9-2) Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. CT at Regions Field.

The game will be broadcast on the Auburn Sports Network and can be heard locally on Wings 94.3 FM. It will also be streamed digitally on ESPN+.

QUICK HITTERS

Auburn is 30-5 in non-conference games dating back to the beginning of last season and 168-60-1 in non-conference play under head coach Butch Thompson.

The team’s current 10-game winning streak is the longest since winning 15 straight games at the beginning of the 2019 season.

The Tigers outscored opponents 43-19 in four games last week, including 28-13 in Arlington.

The weekend sweep in Texas marked just the fourth time in the last 14 seasons the program has won three games against power conference opponents away from home.

The Auburn offense ranks top 25 in the country in average (.338), hits (132) and runs (107).

The team collected 13 or more hits in five straight games from Feb. 21-28, marking the first time since 1998 to accomplish the feat.

Chris Rembert made it back-to-back SEC Freshman of the Week awards for Auburn after hitting .385 with two homers and 10 RBI in four games last week.

The Tigers are 11-0 when scoring four or more runs and 9-0 when outhitting the opponent this season.

The team is ranked No. 20 by Perfect Game and in the Coaches Poll and No. 22 by D1 Baseball.

Auburn leads the all-time series vs. UAB 56-12, including a 21-8 mark in Birmingham.

SCOUTING THE BLAZERS

UAB enters the week with a 9-2 record under fourth-year head coach and former Auburn All-American Casey Dunn. After a 7-4 loss at Troy last week, the Blazers swept North Alabama at home over the weekend.

Offensively, UAB is hitting .283 as a team and has scored 86 runs on 98 hits. Senior outfielder Logan Braunschweig leads the team with a .429 average, two home runs and 11 stolen bases while Auburn native Todd Clay leads the team with 12 RBI.

On the mound, the Blazers have posted a 3.60 team ERA with 82 strikeouts and 40 walks in 95.0 innings pitched. The staff only allowed three runs vs. North Alabama last weekend.
