AUBURN, Ala. – For the fourth time in the last year, Auburn sophomore Jackson Koivun is set to compete amongst the sport’s best at the PGA Tour’s Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill Club and Lodge this weekend, March 6-9, in Orlando, Florida.

Koivun tees off the front at 9:50 a.m. CT Thursday paired with former Stanford golfer Isaiah Salinda.

Koivun earned his exemption into the event through a vote by his peers at the 2024 Arnold Palmer Cup. Last summer at Lahinch Golf Club in Ireland, Koivun and teammate Brendan Valdes led the United States to a 32.5-27.5 victory over Team International. It was the Americans’ first win on European soil since 2018.

This week will be the fourth PGA tournament for the Chapel Hill, North Carolina native. He’s made the cut twice in his previous three outings. His best finish was a 52nd-place showing at the Memorial presented by Workday in early June of 2024. Koivun last competed in the Farmers Insurance Open in January, where he finished tied for 56th at 6-over.

A top-10 finish this week would bump Koivun to 20 PGA Tour U accelerated points, the benchmark needed to earn his PGA Tour Card.

Coverage of the 2025 Arnold Palmer Invitational begins Thursday, March 6 at 1 p.m. CT on Golf Channel.
