SEATTLE — After an outstanding five-year career on The Plains, Auburn soccer’s Maddie Prohaska becomes the latest Tiger to join the professional ranks as she signs a one-year contract with three-time NWSL shield winners, The Seattle Reign.
Prohaska joins Alyssa Malonson of Bay FC as the second active former Tiger in the National Women’s Soccer League.
“Since joining the club as a trialist this preseason, I’ve felt so welcomed in this professional environment,” she said. “The team culture here is unlike any other, and I’ve enjoyed working alongside the goalkeeper group. Looking forward to kicking off the season with our fans very soon!”
Prohaska takes her talents to Seattle after a dynamic final season in the Orange & Blue, leading the Auburn defense to a whopping 12 clean sheets, which matched the 21-year-old program record. She made history as the program’s career shutouts leader with 36 solo and five combined over her tenure. Her total also ranks as the third-best in Southeastern Conference history.
It's a done deal. ✍️
