Bryan-College Station, Texas – Auburn track & field continued its impressive outdoor campaign, highlighted by a trio of Tigers competing in field events, at the 44 Farms Team Invitational in Bryan-College Station, Texas, competing at the E.B. Cushing Stadium.
Sophomore Aaron Davis II notched a personal best in the men’s long jump. The Humble, Texas native landed a massive PR of 7.72m to claim silver. He earned a spot in finals with a mark of 7.51m and took second on his fifth jump of the competition. Davis II is currently No. 3 in the SEC and No. 11 in the nation.
Competing in her home state of Texas, junior Alyssa Quinones-Mixon delivered the best performance of her collegiate career in the women’s pole vault invite (4.28m). Quinones-Mixon cleared 3.98m and 4.13m on her way to a personal record. Her mark places her No. 3 in the conference.
Senior Rhiannon Held earned a spot on the podium in the women’s pole vault. For the second time this outdoor season, Held earned bronze in the event (4.01m). She cleared 3.86m and 4.01m on her first attempts at the bar.
