  • Homered in three straight games and totaled four home runs in the series at Texas, becoming the first Auburn player to homer four times in a series since Cooper McMurray did so vs. Mississippi State from Mar. 21-23, 2023.
  • Hit 5-for-11 with four home runs and six RBI at Texas, accounting for six of the seven runs the team scored in the series.
  • His four home runs for the week were the second most in the league, and his slugging percentage was good for third.
  • Went 3-for-4 and homered twice in the middle game in Austin, marking his third multi-homer game of the season and fourth of his career.
  • Started the series finale with a solo homer in the first inning, becoming the first Auburn player to homer in three straight at-bats since Edouard Julien from Feb. 20-22, 2019.
  • It marked the second time in his career he has homered in three or more consecutive games.

  • Didn’t walk a batter for the third time this season.
  • Has logged 5.0 or more innings in five of his six SEC starts and seven of his 10 starts overall.
  • Through 10 weeks, he leads the league in ERA (2.43) and ranks top 10 in innings pitched (55.2) and strikeouts (64).

  • Retired the first 18 batters he faced in a season-long 6.0 innings pitched at Jacksonville State.
  • Didn’t allow a baserunner until an infield single and error started the seventh inning and ended his outing.
  • It not only marked his longest outing of the season, but his eight strikeouts were the second most in a game and the fourth most by an Auburn starting pitcher this season.
  • It also marked his first outing since Opening Weekend in which he didn’t walk a batter.

Team Notes

Auburn’s 4-3 win at Jacksonville State last Tuesday marked its eighth one-run win of the season and capped off the team’s six-game winning streak, which entered last weekend as the second longest streak in the league … the team’s 27-10 record through 37games after the midweek was the best start through 37 games since 2003 … the 3-2 loss in the series opener at Texas marked the team’s third straight one-run game … nine of the team’s first 18 league games have been decided by two runs or fewer … the Tigers are 6-3 in such games … last weekend marked Auburn fourth straight series against a top-10 opponent, including its third in the span against a team ranked in the top three … after Tuesday’s game vs. Georgia Tech, 20 of Auburn’s last 24 games will have been played against ranked opponents … the team is 12-9 against ranked opponents this season … the Tigers enter the week ranked No. 4 in the RPI with the No. 1 strength of schedule … the team’s 11 quad one wins – home (1-25), neutral (1-40), away (1-60) – are the fourth most in the country.
