“We’re really excited to host regionals,” said Auburn head coach Jordan Szabo. “It’s proof of the body of work we’ve put in all year and it’s really nice to stay home and play in Auburn. We’ve had some great practices since the SEC Championship, and I think we’ve set ourselves up well to make a deep run in the NCAA Championship. We’re going to take it one match at a time and keep doing the right things.
“We’re also really excited to have the highest seed in program history and we’re looking forward to making more history. I’m really proud of the girls for everything they’ve done so far, but I think we’re playing our best tennis right now. We’ve worked really hard the last few weeks so I’m excited to see what we can do this May and it all starts on Friday.”
Auburn earned the 18th NCAA Championship bid in program history after posting a 23-6 overall record with five wins over teams ranked inside the ITA top 10. The 2025 season marked the eighth time the Tigers have reached 20 wins in program history and just the second time reaching 11 conference victories.
This weekend will be the fourth time that the NCAA Opening Rounds have been held at the Yarbrough Tennis Center for the NCAA Women’s Tennis Championship.
Admission to all three matches that are a part of the Auburn Regional at the Yarbrough Tennis Center will be free. Parking and other spectator information is available on the Regional Central page. Live video and live scoring of each match will also be available online at AuburnTigers.com.
