AUBURN, Ala. – Bringing smiles to patients and students while preparing a home for neighbors, Auburn Athletics staff and student-athletes took part in the 15th annual Tigers Give Back community service day on Tuesday.
With more than 100 coaches and staff teaming up with approximately half of the student-athletes on the football roster, Auburn participated in three projects: painting a Habitat for Humanity home in Opelika, engaging with students at Richland Elementary School, and visiting patients at East Alabama Medical Center.
“Tigers Give Back is one of our favorite days of the year!” Auburn director of community relations Latisha Durroh said. “This is our 15th annual community service day and it’s still just as exciting seeing the smiling faces of everyone we meet when we go into to the community.”

Men’s basketball assistant coaches and staff, along with football analysts, visited staff and patients at EAMC.
At Richland, football student-athletes assisted with drop-off, then read to students and answered questions in their classrooms and played games during recess and physical education class.
“Their joy is always so contagious,” Durroh said. “We love being able to go see them to thank them for their support of our Auburn Tigers.”
