The fantastic showing comes just a week after Koivun set a career best with a tied for 11th place showing at the John Deere Classic. This week, he finished just five shots back of champion William Mouw (-10) for his first career top 10 on Tour.
Koivun shot 73 (+3), 66 (-4), 68 (-2), 68 (-2) at Hurstbourne Country Club to earn low amateur honors. He has now made five cuts in seven career PGA Tour appearances over the last 13 months.
