AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn junior Keldric Faulk has been named to the Bronko Nagurski Trophy watch list for the national defensive player of the year, the Football Writers Association of America announced Tuesday.
One of 60 standouts on the watch list, the 6-6, 285-pound defensive lineman from Highland Home, Alabama, made seven sacks, 11 tackles for loss and 45 tackles last season, bringing his two-year totals to 81 tackles, eight sacks and 14.5 tackles for loss.
The FWAA and the Charlotte Touchdown Club will announce four finalists for the 2025 Bronko Nagurski Trophy in mid-to-late November, and the winner will be revealed at the Bronko Nagurski Awards Banquet on Dec. 8 in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The FWAA has chosen a National Defensive Player of the Year since 1993. In 1995, the FWAA named the award in honor of the legendary two-way player from the University of Minnesota. Nagurski dominated college football, then became a star for professional football’s Chicago Bears in the 1930s. Bronislaw "Bronko" Nagurski is a charter member of both the College Football and Pro Football Halls of Fame.
