AUBURN, Ala. - The Auburn cross country program announced the team’s schedule for the 2025 season, which features four regular season meets under the leadership of fifth-year distance coach Aaron Kindt

For the fourth time in five years, the Tigers open their 2025 campaign on Aug. 29 at the Foothills Invitational in Oxford, Alabama, on the campus of Jacksonville State University. The last time the orange and blue raced at Choccolocco Park, the men and women took the win.

Following the season opener, the team will head north to Huntsville, Alabama, for the Southern Showcase on Sept. 12 at the John Hunt Cross Country Running Park.

Two weeks later, Auburn will trek to Columbia, Missouri, to compete at the Gan Creek Classic hosted by the University of Missouri on Sept. 26. Last season in Columbia, the Tigers delivered a strong showing on both sides, with the men earning a third-place finish and the women placing sixth.

The Tigers’ final tune-up before the SEC Championships will come Oct. 17 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, at the Crimson Classic.

Postseason action for the Tigers will start Oct. 31 with the conference championships in Knoxville, Tennessee.

At last year’s conference championships, both the men and women delivered strong finishes. For the first time since 2015, both programs finished in the top eight, with the men taking seventh and the women earning eighth.

NCAA postseason action will kick off in November for the Tigers with the team’s return to Huntsville, Alabama, for the NCAA South Regional on Nov. 14.

Last season, the men and women finished fifth and eighth, respectively, with six individuals securing All-region honors.

Should any Auburn team or individual qualify during the South Regional, they will advance to the NCAA Championships on Nov. 22 in Columbia, Missouri.
