AUBURN, Ala. – Rising junior Jackson Koivun earned a career-best PGA Tour finish for the third time in three starts to headline an outstanding weekend for the past, present and future of Auburn men’s golf.

Koivun finished inside the top 11 for the third time on Tour this summer as he earned T5th at the Wyndham Championship at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, North Carolina.

He fired rounds of 68, 66, 65 and 67 to earn his first career top five in a professional event. He’s now made six cuts in eight starts. Auburn alum Patton Kizzire (2008) also played in the Wyndham, shooting 4-under to finish T44th.

On the PGA Tour Americas, Carson Bacha (2025) earned his first professional win at the Osprey Valley Open hosted by TPC Toronto. He shot 65-67-65-64 (-23) to earn a share of the lead with Jay Card III. Bacha capitalized on a bogey from Card III on the second hole of a playoff to seal the victory.

At the 68th Eastern Amateur at Elizabeth Manor Golf and Country Club, incoming freshman Jake Albert was the wire-to-wire winner. He set himself up for success with a dazzling 60 (-10) in the opening round. He followed it up with scores of 66, 64 and 71 to cruise to a five-shot victory at 19-under.

Auburn men’s golf kickstarts its season in a little over a month, heading to the Invitational at The Honors Course, set for Sept. 15-16 in Ooltewah, Tennessee.
