Auburn junior Anna Davis advanced to the match play portion of the 2025 U.S. Women's Amateur at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort in Brandon, Oregon, on Tuesday evening. Davis' 36-hole score of 141 (-3) led to a tie for 21st place at the end of stroke play.
Davis is within the top 64 players at the conclusion of the stroke play portion of the event, meaning that she will play in the match play portion of this year's event. This marks the thrid consecutive year that Davis has reached match play, as she reached the quarterfinals in each of the last two U.S. Women's Amateurs.
Davis' bogey-free opening round 69 (-3) on Monday featured one birdie and one eagle to place her inside the top five after round one. A second round of even par (72) on Tuesday helped Davis stay above the cut line.
The 22-seed in the round of 64, Davis will play her first match against Avery McCrery of Duke at 4:20 p.m. CT.
Golf Channel will carry match play coverage from 5 to 8 p.m. CT on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Coverage will continue with the semifinals Saturday from 2 to 5 p.m. CT and the championship match Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. CT. Live scoring of the tournament will be available at USGA.org.
