NAPA VALLEY, Calif. – Auburn rising junior Jackson Koivun made waves on Tour this week yet again as the amateur shot 16-under to card another top 10 finish at the Procore Championship at Silverado Resort in Napa Valley, California.
Koivun began Sunday’s round in second place, two shots back of the lead, but ultimately finished tied for fourth. Scottie Scheffler came out on top, just three strokes better than Koivun at 19-under.
The Chapel Hill, North Carolina native’s week consisted of rounds of 67 (-5), 66 (-6), 68 (-4) and 71 (-1). He bogeyed just nine times and made 21 birdies and a pair of eagles.
It was the fourth straight start on Tour in which Koivun played the weekend. It was also the fourth straight time that the 20-year-old earned a career-best finish. He’s placed inside the top 11 in each start since his run at the John Deere Classic in early July.
Following his Procore performance, Koivun is 6-for-7 in making cuts this season. He improves to 7-for-9 all-time and receives an exemption into the Sanderson Farms Championship in early October.
