A: “I loved Auburn as soon as I stepped on campus here. Everything about Auburn was appealing: the team, the school, the coaches, the campus. Auburn is just such a special place, nothing compares!”
Q: How long have you been riding horses? What was the name of your first horse?
A: “I have been riding horses since I was seven years old, so 11 years total. The first horse I owned, I still have, and his name is Kevin! The first horse I leased is named Chloe.”
Q: What’s the biggest lesson horseback riding has taught you about yourself?
A: “The biggest thing riding horses has taught me is that hard work and patience are some of the most important qualities to have in life. Horses have taught me to work hard and to not give up on things I want in life.”
Q: What is the most challenging part about balancing academics and being a student-athlete?
A: “It's challenging to be a student-athlete because you have to learn how to balance school and riding in life. You must have good time management and maturity to be able to balance that with a social life.”
Q: What are some hobbies and activities you enjoy doing outside of riding?
A: “I like to read casually outside of riding. I also love amusement parks, concerts, and anything with an adrenaline rush.”
Q: What is one piece of advice you would give younger riders who want to compete in college?
A: “One piece of advice I'd give to younger riders is to keep working hard, and to not give up on your dream!”
Q: Describe the Auburn equestrian team in one word.
A: “Family.”
Q: If you could ride anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
A: “I would love to ride on a beach on some tropical island. I'd love to experience galloping a horse on a beach and through the water.”
Q: Who or what inspires you most when you ride?
A: “My trainers, older barn family, and my upperclassmen all inspire me when I ride. I can't just choose one, I love to look up and get advice from anyone.”
Q: What’s one thing about Auburn equestrian that most people don’t know?
A: “How close of a team we are, and how we all put 100% effort into everything we do.”
