AURORA, Ontario – Auburn women’s golf won the team title on Tuesday at the inaugural Canadian Collegiate Invitational at Beacon Hall Golf Club in Aurora, Ontario. Balma Dávalos fired a career-low 66 (-6) in the final round to finish runner-up individually, while Anne Fernandez earned a career-best tie for third-place finish.

“I am so pleased with the 16-under total with such a young lineup,” Auburn head coach Melissa Luellen said after the team victory. “We really proved the depth and talent of our entire team. The focus of the week was to stay patient and trust the hard work they have put in day in and day out. Can’t wait for the next tournament!”

The Tigers dominated the field on Tuesday, recording the best team round with an 11-under 277 to finish the rain-shortened 36-hole event at 16-under 560. The title is the ninth under Luellen and the first this season.

Dávalos opened the second round with three birdies in her first four holes. She totaled six birdies and an eagle, which came on the par-5 12th, to post the low round of the day. The sophomore’s finish marked her first career top five, three shots behind individual champion Veronika Kedronova of Kent State.

“I felt good about my ball striking today, but honestly the big difference was the putter,” Dávalos said. “I made a lot of putts and that kept the momentum going. I also took advantage of the par 5s, which really helped me put a good round together.”

Fernandez followed her career-low 68 (-4) on Monday with a 1-under 71 on Tuesday that featured five birdies. The top-five finishes for both Dávalos and Fernandez also come with invitations to the 2026 Canadian Women’s Amateur Championship.

Sophomore Molly Brown Davidson bounced back from an opening 76 (+4) with a 4-under 68 in round two. She fired a bogey-free 32 on the second nine at Beacon Hall and finished with five birdies to place in a tie for 13th.

Junior Anna Davis also provided a counting score Tuesday with a 1-under 71. Her 36-hole 146 (+2) was good for a tie for 19th. Freshman Charlotte Cantonis’ 74 (+2) did not count toward the team score in round two, but she secured a top-10 finish. Cantonis closed at 1-under 143 to tie for eighth individually.

Up next, Auburn will compete in the Illini Women’s Invitational at historic Medinah Country Club in Medinah, Illinois, on Oct. 6-7.
