AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn women’s golf will open its 2025-26 campaign on Monday at the Cougar Classic at Yeamans Hall Club in Charleston, South Carolina. The Tigers look to defend their title from last season, as they won the event with a 54-hole score of 847 (-5) to win by one stroke.
Auburn’s lineup for the event will feature three familiar faces as well as a couple of newcomers. Among the returners is junior Anna Davis, who enters with preseason All-America honors from both Golf Channel and Golfweek. Davis had an eventful summer, finishing as a quarterfinalist at both The R&A Women’s Amateur and the U.S. Women’s Amateur. The Auburn junior is currently No. 14 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings (WAGR).
Sophomore Balma Dávalos and redshirt senior Carys Worby will each bring a veteran presence of the season opening lineup. Davalos made news over the summer by finishing runner up at the Ladies European Amateur and winning the Spanish Team Championship. Worby also earned a runner-up finish at the Irish Women’s Amateur Open.
Freshman Charlotte Cantonis and sophomore Molly Brown Davidson round out the Tiger lineup and will each be making their Auburn debut on Monday.
The first two rounds of the three round event will be played on Monday beginning with a shotgun start while the final 18 holes will be played on Tuesday. Yeamans Hall Club will be played as a par 71 course at 6,269 yards. Live scoring of the tournament will be available at scoreboard.clippd.com.
