Roger McCreary hauled in his third career interception, including his first since 2023, to kick off the 2025 NFL season.

That and more in this week’s Auburn Made NFL rundown.

Best of Week 1

Jamel Dean, CB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Dean and the Buccaneers started the 2025 season with a bang, securing a 23-20 victory over the Atlanta Falcons. Entering his seventh season with the Bucs, Dean made crucial plays down the stretch in a back-and-forth game decided on a missed field goal with 0:06 on the clock. The former third-round draft pick totaled six tackles and three passes defended. All six of his tackles were solo stop and his three passes defended were his most in a game since the 2023 postseason. Dean has amassed 55 career passes defended since making his NFL debut in 2019.

Roger McCreary, CB, Tennessee Titans

McCreary was a standout in the secondary as the Titans fell in a hard-fought loss to the Denver Broncos in week one. His first-quarter interception of former Auburn teammate Bo Nix marked the third of his four-year career, including his first since 2023. McCreary added five tackles, including four solo stops, and allowed just one reception of 10 or more yards. His PFF overall grade of 84.0 and coverage grade of 85.0 ranked sixth out of 107 NFL cornerbacks.

Colby Wooden, DT, Green Bay Packers

Wooden started off his third season in the league with a career-best effort in a 27-13 win over the Detroit Lions. He tallied career highs with six tackles, 2.0 tackles for loss and a quarterback hit as the Packers held the high-powered Lions offense to 246 total yards and 3.8 yards per play. One of Wooden’s tackles for loss was a third-down stop at the Lions’ 1-yard line, forcing a punt and giving Green Bay great field position before ultimately scoring a touchdown to extend its lead to 24-6 midway through the fourth quarter. Wooden’s three solo tackles ranked third among all interior defenders, which contributed to a PFF grade of 64.0.
