AUBURN, Ala. – The No. 16 Auburn women’s golf team will compete in the Ruth’s Chris Tar Heel Invitational from Friday through Sunday at Finley Golf Club in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Auburn last participated in the event during the 2023-24 season, finishing in second place.
The Tigers enter the tournament following a strong performance at the Illini Women’s Invitational at Medinah, where they shot 851 (-13) and placed third as a team. Sophomore Balma Dávalos has finished in the top three in each of the last two tournaments, placing third at the Canadian Collegiate Invitational and tying for second at the Illini Invitational.
Joining Dávalos in the Auburn lineup will be Anna Davis, Molly Brown Davidson, Anne Fernandez and Charlotte Cantonis. Davidson and Cantonis return to the team lineup after being out of the last event. The Tigers will be without Katie Cranston, who is competing in the qualifying stage of the LPGA Qualifying Series in Venice, Florida.
Auburn will be joined in the field by No. 1 Wake Forest, No. 7 South Carolina, No. 17 Duke, No. 20 Kentucky, No. 21 North Carolina, Purdue, Virginia Tech, Miami, FIU, UNC Wilmington, NC State, Michigan, Louisville and Rollins College.
Finley Golf Club will play as a par 70 at 6,095 yards. One round will be played each day. Auburn will begin the opening round just before 9 a.m. CT and live scoring will be available at scoreboard.clippd.com.
