The girls are so much fun to play with. The more we play, the more we're learning about each other. That's so much fun. We're learning to play with new teammates and understand what the standard is going to be for Auburn softball.

One thing we're trying to make sure we do is to go through adversity this fall. It felt like we were going through that as tonight went on. We have a lot of different and new faces that have to figure out how that's going to happen and what that looks like. We have a team where there's going to be moment. We've got to remember that they're young and may have those moments of freaking out, but they are going to find a way to fight through. That's hard to do nowadays. It's great to see them continuing to solve the puzzle. It was great today to see them fight, fight, fight, fight and then it opens up. They have to understand how to think, but then they were able to play free and let it loose.

Our team dynamic has been really good. We've been pushing ourselves at practice every single day and trying to get to know each other more and more on and off the field. I feel like after these last couple game, we're getting to know each other more in the dugout and showing how much fight we have as a team. We have a lot of competitors on this team.

Pitching has been awesome. It was great to have some of our pitchers go through some innings that were challenging. They've had to battle and find different ways to get people out. That's important to go through and still come out with a zero. Ella (Harrison) did a great job starting, really seeing her get in there and go. We haven't seen her best yet. There's a lot of things that she's trying to work on and build. She's a competitor. It's hard to square a ball off of Abby (Herndon) with how she throws. She continued to get after it. Seeing those two get comfortable this fall is going to be huge.
