It's just a testament to the work I put in over the summer and across the fall so far. My coaches are amazing. They've been helping me figure it out at the plate. We're setting the standard. Everyone's bought in. We have leaders on the team that are going to hold us to that standard. I feel like everyone's here to compete. Everyone wants to be here, so that's a bonus.

As we're going through the fall, we're starting to see how we react to things. We knew today that we were going to see an increase in competition. Northwest Florida won the national championship at the junior college level. Georgia Southern is coached well. They are going to come out aggressive and compete. It was good to see us get challenged and figure things out. We're learning a lot like this team's emotional stability. We still have things to clean up. We know we're going to get there because of the talent and emotional maturity of this team. They're not freaking out when things aren't where they should be. They want to know how to adjust and fix things. That's a big thing.

These seven months have been pretty hard, but just having my team and coaches supporting me means the world to me. It's been amazing so far this fall. I'm so glad to be back. We've been talking about what our identity is. We all came up with saying we're competitors. No matter what, every inning, every pitch, every play, we're going to complete. We're going to go all 100 percent every play.

We might be starting to feel a little pressure on defense. If a runner is on or things aren't going well, but they're staying locked in behind our pitchers and ready to make a play. We know our pitchers have some stuff, but it is great to see them continue to battle. It's important to see them get challenged and mentally fight through things.
