AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn men’s tennis will compete in two fall events over the weekend: the Crimson Tide Fall Challenge in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and the CCB Collegiate Invitational in Birmingham, Alabama. Both tournaments will be held Friday through Sunday.
The Crimson Tide Fall Challenge, hosted at the University of Alabama Tennis Stadium, will feature a hidden dual format with teams divided into groups of four. Each matchup will consist of two doubles matches followed by four singles matches, with each match worth one point toward the team total. In the event of a tie, a doubles 10-point tiebreaker will determine the winner.
Nicholas Heng, Billy Blaydes, Freddy Blaydes and Hamza Nasridinov will represent Auburn in Tuscaloosa. The Tigers will be joined at the event by Alabama, Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, Florida State, Louisville, Virginia Tech and Columbia.
A few miles north, one Auburn player will compete in the CCB Collegiate Invitational at the Country Club of Birmingham. Joey Phillips will take part in the event for the Tigers.
Live video of the Crimson Tide Fall Challenge will be available at track.tennis and live results will be posted at wearecollegetennis.com. Video and results will not be available from the CCB Collegiate Invitational.
