Auburn Made: Week 8 NFL RundownAuburn Made: Week 8 NFL Rundown

Tank Bigsby got his chance this week and did not disappoint as he ran for 104 yards on nine carries in the Eagles' division win over the Giants.

That and more in this week’s Auburn Made NFL rundown.

Tank Bigsby, RB, Philadelphia Eagles
Seeing his first extended action of the season, Bigsby ran for 104 yards on nine carries in the Eagles' 38-20 win against the Giants and led all NFL running backs with a PFF offensive grade of 94.7 and rushing grade of 92.1. The third-year pro and first-year Eagle led the way in yards per carry (11.6), his second-highest mark of his career, and five of his carries went for 10+ yards, including a long of 29 yards. The 104 rushing yards are the second most of Bigsby’s career, trailing only his 118 yards in week seven last season, and it marks his third career 100-yard performance.

Jamel Dean, CB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Dean matched a season high with six tackles, including five solo stops, and forced his second fumble of the year in the Buccaneers' 23-3 win against the Saints, improving Tampa Bay to 6-2 on the year. Week six’s NFC Defensive Player of the Week, Dean has forced a turnover in three straight weeks (two interceptions and two forced fumbles) and is the only player in the league with three interceptions and two forced fumbles this season. He continues to turn in a career year as he leads all NFL cornerbacks in PFF overall grade (90.9), pass rush grade (99.1) and coverage grade (86.5).

Roger McCreary, CB, Los Angeles Rams
McCreary recorded three solo tackles, including his first sack of the season and his third QB hurry, in the Titans matchup against the Colts. He posted his highest PFF pass rush grade of the season (71.0) and second-highest run defensive grade (72.3) prior to being traded to the Los Angeles Rams Monday. In 24 coverage snaps, the fourth-year cornerback was only targeted one time.

Jamien Sherwood, LB, New York Jets
Sherwood broke up a pass with 0:42 left in the game to keep the Bengals out of field goal range as the Jets overcame a 15-point fourth-quarter deficit to win the game, 39-38. The NFL’s second-leading tackler, Sherwood added five more tackles, including four solo stops, to make his season total 75. The Jets captain posted his highest PFF coverage grade (82.6) of the season.

Braden Smith, OL, Indianapolis Colts
Smith played a pivotal role in another Colts win as the organization improved to 7-1 for the first time since 2009. The eighth-year tackle posted a season-high PFF overall grade (78.0), which ranked ninth among NFL tackles, and run blocking grade (73.7). Having scored 30 or more points in six of eight games, the Colts' offense leads the NFL in scoring (33.8) and total offense (385.3). Smith, who also turned in a pass block grade of 80.2 in week eight, has yet to allow a sack this season to help anchor the second-best pass protection unit in the NFL.
