BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Three members of the Auburn soccer program were named All-SEC players Thursday morning. Hayden Colson was named to the league’s First Team, Erin Flurey was named to the Third Team, and Lily Devereaux was named to the All-Freshman Team.

It’s the second consecutive season that Auburn has placed three women on All-SEC teams.

Colson, a defensive midfielder from Denton, Texas, commanded the field throughout the regular season with her physicality and awareness. In her best and final season on The Plains, she has started all 17 matches and has gone the distance in 13 of them, including all 10 in SEC play. Colson’s Iron Woman mentality has seen the Tigers secure six shutouts and post a minuscule 1.00 goals-against average on the year.

“This year, I had to make a real choice in my development – to challenge myself, grow and take that next step,” Colson said. “The coaching staff saw it in me, and I had to see it in myself. Being named All-SEC is such a blessing that I am truly beyond grateful for. I’m proud of how far I’ve come, but even more excited for another opportunity to keep pushing, growing and competing alongside my teammates.”

The All-SEC honor is the first of Colson’s career. She’s Auburn’s first pure six to earn all-league status since Brooke Ramsier in 2016.

A versatile attacker from Manchester, New Hampshire, Flurey also snags the first all-conference honor of her career in her final season of collegiate eligibility. She’s totaled 23 points on 11 goals and one assist to lead the Auburn offense. Most notably, Flurey has been automatic from the spot this season, burying all five of her penalty kick attempts to lead NCAA Division I. She’s also a perfect nine-for-nine from the spot in her career.

“I am overflowing with joy and gratefulness not just for this accolade but for the entire season I’ve had with Auburn soccer,” Flurey said. “Choosing to spend my last year on The Plains has brought me new family and community that I’m proud to be a part of. This moment and season would not have been possible without my teammates and staff, and I’m excited to continue the season with all of them!”

Flurey joins Colson as a 17-match starter. Devereaux, the freshman, is another.

Hailing from Weddington, North Carolina, Devereaux stepped onto The Plains and made an immediate impact on the pitch as one of the league’s top freshmen and overall defenders. Her brute strength and mature vision have not only contributed to the team’s aforementioned clean sheets but have also been vital in helping the Tigers maintain possession and build attacks out of the back. A steady force in that defensive line, Devereaux saw 886 minutes out of a possible 900 in conference matches this season.

“This means so much to me,” Devereaux said. “I feel like Auburn truly put me in a position to grow and succeed as a defender in one of the toughest conferences to defend in. I wouldn’t have been able to do this without the trust from our coaches and my teammates. We’ve put in a lot of hard work to get to this point, but the season isn’t over.”

Devereaux is Auburn’s first All-Freshman Team player since Anna Haddock and Maddie Prohaska in 2020 and is the first Auburn defender to earn the recognition since Alyssa Malonson in 2017.

All three women return to the field next week as Auburn tackles LSU in the opening round of the 2025 SEC Soccer Tournament on Sunday, Nov. 2. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. CT on the SEC Network.
