AUBURN, Ala. - With the 2026 gymnastics season approaching, it is time to meet all the new faces joining the squad this year. This week starts off with Adriana Consoli!

Hometown: Pearland, Texas

Year: Freshman

Major: Journalism 

Prior to college: Elite level gymnast with a lot of success both at the elite level and at Level 10 … Top finishes at the 2022 American Classic, including second on vault … Two-time U.S. Development Program National Championship qualifier … Finished in the Top 5 in all categories at the 2024 Texas State meet, including fourth in the all-around and on bars … Top 10 finishes at the 2024 Region 3 meet … Finished first on beam at the 2023 WOGA Classic.

Q: What was your first visit to Auburn like? What about Auburn made you want to come here?

A: My first visit to Auburn was unreal. I immediately knew it was home. I got chills throughout my whole visit. I loved the team, coaches, and facility. That is what made me want to come here.

Q: How has the first semester of college been? What has been the most significant adjustment?

A: The first semester of college has been great. The most significant thing to me has been meeting all these amazing people and going to the football games. Building a connection with the team has also meant a lot to me.

Q: Who is your biggest role model, and why?

A: My biggest role model is my mom. She has supported me so much throughout my life and she pushes me to be the best version of myself!

Q: What Auburn traditions are your favorite, and why?

A: My favorite Auburn tradition is saying “War Eagle!” and rolling Toomer’s Corner.

Q: What or who keeps you motivated on the hard days?

A: My goals and my younger self keep me motivated on the hard days.

Q: What’s your favorite home-cooked meal?

A: My dad’s pasta and chicken cutlets are my favorite home-cooked meals.

Q: What hobbies do you enjoy outside of gymnastics?

A: Outside of gymnastics, I enjoy hanging out with my friends and shopping.

Q: What is your major? Why did you choose it?

A: My major is journalism, and I chose it because I like to write.

Q: If you could eliminate one event, which would you choose and why?

A: I would eliminate vault because it is my least favorite to train.

Q: What are you most looking forward to this season? What are some of your goals?

A: I am most excited for the first home meet because it is going to be so fun and hype. My goal is to help the team make it to the Final Four.

Q: What advice would you give younger students as they work hard to be collegiate gymnasts?

A: My advice would be to keep pushing and never give up because it is all worth it in the end.

Q: What is your biggest gymnastics pet peeve? Why?

A: Being chalky after practice.

Q: What was your dream job as a kid?

A: My dream job as a kid was to be a vet.

Q: If you could have one superpower, what would it be and why?

A: To be invisible so I can disappear during awkward moments
