COLUMBUS, Ga. – Auburn golf’s Josiah Gilbert and Jackson Koivun were named to the final fall watch list for the 2026 Fred Haskins Award presented by Stifel, the Haskins Foundation announced Tuesday.

Dating back to 1971, the Haskins Award is given annually to the top male U.S. collegiate golfer as voted on by only college golfers, coaches and members of the golf media. Past winners of the Haskins have captured 33 major championships and more than 400 professional tournaments around the world.

Koivun, the 2024 Haskins Award recipient, played three events this fall and did not finish higher than 17th in any of them. The 17th-place outing came in his fall opener, the Ben Hogan Collegiate, where he shot 3-over. He followed it with a 10th-place finish at The Williams Cup (E) and a fifth-place finish at The Clerico (+3).

Halfway through his junior year, Koivun already boasts 24 top 10s, which is one shy of matching Brendan Valdes’ (2021-25) program record set last spring.

Gilbert had arguably the best fall on the Auburn roster, which included a pair of wins, the second and third of his collegiate career. To kickstart the season, he came out on top at the Honors Course Invitational, where he shot 6-under. A pair of suboptimal outings in the fall’s middle two events did not deter him as he bookended the fall season with another win at The Clerico. Gilbert shot 3-under at Southern Hills to push Auburn through to its first team victory of the year.

Both men and the No. 4 Tigers return to action next year, at the Amer Ari Invitational, which is set for Feb. 5-7, 2026 at Mauna Lani Golf Club in Waikoloa, Hawai’i.
