AUBURN, Ala. — No rest for the weary. Two days after Auburn (16-9, 7-7) went toe-to-toe with No. 4 Texas, the Tigers head to Baton Rouge for a date with LSU (12-13, 5-9) on Friday, Nov. 14, inside the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.
First serve is set for 7 p.m. CT. The match will be streamed live on SEC Network Plus.
QUICK HITS
Sophomore outside hitter Lauren Dreves has proven why she's one of the best pin hitters in the SEC this season. Dreves is averaging single-season career highs in kills per set (3.78), hitting percentage (.271), blocks per set (0.67) and points per set (4.26). Her 3.78 kills per set would go down as the second most in a single season in program history.
After 17 kills against Texas, Dreves has reached double figures in 10 straight matches and has eclipsed 15 kills 12 different times this season.
Auburn managed 11.0 total blocks against the Longhorns, marking the 13th time the Tigers have reached double figures this season.
The Tigers are piecing together the greatest blocking season in program history. Not only does Auburn's 2.86 blocks per set rank second in the SEC and 10th in the country, the mark would also set the school's single-season record by nearly 0.5 blocks per set.
Middle blockers Kate Mansfield and Grace Havlicek have been directly responsible for the team's efforts at the net in 2025. Mansfield's 1.53 blocks per set ranks second in the conference and No. 5 in the nation. Havlicek, meanwhile, sits 10th in the SEC at 1.15.
Mansfield's mark would set the single-season program record if the season ended today.
Behind one of the best passing seasons in Auburn history, setters Shanelle Puetz and Kalei Edson have orchestrated an offense that is hitting .250 entering Friday's contest. Should the number hold, the 2025 Tigers would set the single-season program record, passing the 2023 squad that hit .241.
SCOUTING LSU
Head coach Tonya Johnson is in her fourth season in charge of the LSU Volleyball program. This year's edition of the Tigers holds a 12-13 record with a 5-9 mark in the SEC entering Friday. LSU has won two of its last three contests, including wins against Ole Miss and at South Carolina.
The Tigers live and die by the right arm of Jurnee Robinson. The Junior outside hitter gets the second-most attempts per set in the conference (11.76) and puts down the most kills (4.86). Her kills per set mark also ranks eighth in the country. In fact, Robinson ranks in the top 10 in the SEC in five different categories.
Defensively, LSU relies on middle blocker Sanaa Donaie. The freshman from Baytown, Texas is averaging a team-best 1.31 blocks per set.
AUBURN-LSU SERIES
Auburn enters Friday with a 16-49 record against LSU, including a 5-26 mark in Baton Rouge in a series that dates back to 1977. However, coach Crouch and Co. are 1-1 in the last two matchups, including a dominant sweep in 2023. The last time Auburn made the trip to LSU, the match went the full five sets.
