Auburn women’s tennis has signed blue-chip recruit Kaya Moe, head coach Jordan Szabo announced Thursday. Moe will join the Tigers for the 2026-27 season.
“We are excited to sign Kaya Moe and have her officially be a part of the Auburn women’s tennis program,” Auburn head coach Jordan Szabo said. “Kaya is one of the top-ranked Americans, and we feel blessed that she wanted to be a part of what we are building. She will contribute to our lineup in both singles and doubles and recently had a win over the No. 1 junior in the world, so the sky is the limit.”
Moe has been ranked as high as No. 4 nationally in the class of 2026 by Tennis Recruiting and is the top prospect in her home state of Connecticut. In the USTA 18U rankings, she climbed to No. 5 nationally. She also achieved a career-high ITF Junior ranking of No. 159 on Sept. 1, 2025.
The Avon, Connecticut, native has won 11 ITF Junior titles and earned a UTR Pro Tennis Tour singles title at the PTT Connecticut event this summer. She is also a USTA gold, silver and bronze ball winner and received an invitation to compete in the Junior US Open earlier this year.
At the USTA Billie Jean King National Hardcourt Championships this year in San Diego, Moe defeated the world’s top-ranked junior player, Kristina Penickova.
Moe’s mother, Erika, played collegiate tennis at Iowa State University. Kaya is a student at ICL Academy and has been a member of the National Honor Society for three years.
