AUBURN, Ala. - Auburn sophomore Nickson Chebii earns U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Region honors following his performance at the 2025 NCAA South Regional Cross Country Championships, the office announced Monday.
Athletes earned the distinction of All-Region by finishing in the top 25 at one of nine regional sites across the country. The South Region is one of nine regional championships used to determine the field for the NCAA Cross Country Championships.
Racing in Huntsville, Alabama at the John Hunt Cross Country Course, Chebii earned the recognition for the second straight year. Chebii placed third overall in the men’s 10k with a personal-best time of 29:13.47, securing one of the region’s automatic individual qualifying spots for nationals.
Chebii is a two-time USTFCCCA All-Region selection and NCAA individual qualifier for Auburn cross country. He improved upon his eighth-place finish from the 2024 South Regional.
