Jonathan Jones registered a season high in tackles, including his first sack in seven years, while Jamien Sherwood continued to lead the Jets in tackles and Daniel Carlson went 3-for-3 for the Raiders on Monday Night Football.
That and more on this week’s Auburn Made NFL Rundown.
Daniel Carlson, K, Las Vegas Raiders
Carlson delivered a perfect performance in the Raiders’ Monday Night Football matchup with the Cowboys, converting all three of his field goal attempts from 45, 37, and 35 yards while also converting his lone extra point. With 218 career field goals made, the eighth-year pro leads all NFL kickers since entering the league in 2018. The 2022 All-Pro ranks second in Raiders history with 880 career points and is one of only 15 kickers in league history to surpass 800 points within his first eight seasons. Carlson has scored 57 points so far this year – 15 field goals and 12 extra points – and now has 79 career games with a perfect field goal percentage after Monday night.
Jonathan Jones, CB, Washington Commanders
Jones turned in a season high with six tackles, including four solo stops and a sack, in the first NFL game ever played in Madrid, Spain. His six tackles were tied for the most in a game since week three of last season, and his sack was his first since week 15 of 2018 and the third full sack of his career. The two-time Super Bowl champion forced a Dolphins three-and-out with his third-down sack and helped setup a Commanders’ field goal before halftime. Jones posted a PFF pass rush grade of 83.8, which ranked second among NFL corners, and allowed only two receptions in 23 coverage snaps. A 10th-year NFL veteran, he is Auburn’s second longest-tenured NFL player, trailing only Josh Harris (14 years).
Jamien Sherwood, LB, New York Jets
Sherwood tallied eight total tackles and four solo stops in the Jets’ Thursday Night Football matchup against the Patriots. After a breakout season in which he led the league in solo tackles (98) and finished tied for third in total tackles (158), Sherwood remains among the NFL’s most productive defenders and is currently tied for 11th in total tackles (89) and 19th in solo tackles (43) through 11 weeks this season. The 2025 team captain turned in a season-best 83.3 PFF tackling grade for the game, while his standout run defense grade of 84.3 places him 10th in the league. The 2024 Jets MVP nears the top 10 all-time among Auburn alumni with 324 career NFL tackles in 66 games played (4.9 tackles per game).
