Auburn sophomore Hamza Nasridinov has reached the second round of the NCAA Singles Championshp after winning his round of 64 match over Yale's Vignesh Gogineni late on Monday night.
After Nasridinov claimed the first set 6-3, the two went back-and-forth in the second set. Both players broke once during the second set, leading to a tiebreaker. The second-set tiebreaker also stayed tight, with Nasridinov eventually prevaliling 13-11 to earn the dramatic victory.

The Auburn sophomore will now face Trevor Svajda of SMU at 1 p.m. CT in Wednesday's second round. The winner will advance to the singles round of 16.
Billy and Freddy Blaydes will open play in the NCAA Doubles Championship Wednesday against Baylor’s Zsombor Velcz and Connor Henry Van Schalkwyk at 6 p.m. CT in the round of 32.
In singles, all players reaching the round of 16 earn ITA Singles All-America honors. In doubles, all quarterfinalists secure ITA Doubles All-America recognition.
