AUBURN, Ala. - The Auburn track & field program has announced its 2026 indoor and outdoor schedule, which features eight indoor meets and nine outdoor meets, highlighted by the Tigers hosting the SEC Outdoor Championships in May.

“We’re excited to announce the 2025–26 track & field schedule,” Auburn head coach Leroy Burrell said. “We’ll participate in our traditional series of meets during the indoor season, starting with two in state meets at the Birmingham CrossPlex before getting into the heart of our season with two competitive weekends in Clemson. With the NCAA Indoor Championships returning to Arkansas in March, there will definitely be fireworks.”

Led by fourth-year head coach Burrell, Auburn opens the indoor campaign December 5–6 at the Sharon Colyear-Danville meet in Boston before traveling to Birmingham, Alabama, for consecutive weekends at the UAB Blazer Invite on January 9 and the Samford Open on January 17.

Postseason competition begins February 26–28 as Auburn travels to Bryan-College Station, Texas, for the SEC Indoor Championships. The indoor season concludes at the NCAA Indoor Championships, hosted by the Arkansas Razorbacks in Fayetteville (March 13-14).

For the second consecutive year, Auburn opens the outdoor season March 20–21 at the Yellow Jacket Invitational in Atlanta.

Auburn returns home to host the Tiger Track Classic on the newly resurfaced Hutsell-Rosen Track (April 25).

“We’ll debut the resurfaced Hutsell-Rosen Track in April with the Tiger Track Classic, culminating in hosting the SEC Outdoor Championships on the Plains in many years,” Burrell said. “We have an outstanding series of meets that will give our athletes the best opportunities to excel and be in peak condition in May for the championship stretch.”

Postseason action comes to the Plains, as Auburn hosts the 2026 SEC Outdoor Championships May 14–16.

Hosting its first conference championship meet in Auburn since 2008, the program will welcome the league’s best, adding an extra layer of excitement to the 2026 postseason.

The Tigers will then travel to Lexington, Kentucky, for the NCAA East Preliminaries (May 27–30) with sights set on advancing to the NCAA Outdoor Championships, scheduled for June 10–13 in Eugene, Oregon, at historic Hayward Field.
